Y’all banned Green gene?? Wth for?

I was really starting to like this website / forum and most the people on here, but why’d y’all ban green gene?? I’ve never met him in person or anything but from his videos he’s always been straight up, raw, one to call it like he sees it and has always just wanted to help the cannabis community and more specifically the growers in this community. There might be more to your guys side of the story.. but honestly that’s beyon weak that y’all banned him he hasn’t done shit but preach the gods honest truth!

I wanted to ask this but honestly i'm kind of afraid to post here now.. if i post something that is honest and might help people i could be banned now? Gene has helped so many people it's insane that he got banned unless it was like a death threat to a mods dog. Since there is no real information, the rumor i heard was he told the truth about a sponsors product.. and sponsors matter MUCH MUCH more than truth or honesty. Since there is no real nfo... i guess that will have to do :(

I haven’t heard any rumors or anything but the second I saw on his ig that he got banned, that was immediately my first thought. Is he bashed some product that clearly sucked ass &/or made ridiculously false claims from one of the sponsors here, and they wentnand banned him... childish if you ask me (I know nobody asked me but still..) False advertising has never helped this community grow (pun intended) but gene always has! So RIU should fix this or I’m forsure out this bitch

Well the one thing i like about gene is how honest he is and blunt.. you know exactly where you are and what you need to know. Especially when people ask him shit that you can google in 3 seconds:)

Uh, I'm nobody and my opinion doesn't matter...so, knowing that please stop reading now.

I found this place because of GG, I like that he wants to help people, follow the science of stuff, and he has helped me a lot personally just from the knowledge transfer. I like the guy and his style, mostly, but don't 'know' him or anybody.

I saw some threads though where he was just personally attacking people. I agree that if they're not showing the numbers they should shut up. I agree that that just exposes them. I agree that exposing them is the right thing to do...but I saw words written down that I don't think should be said, so they shouldn't be written down.

So given that I think a temp ban, to show that that kind of thing shouldn't happen, would be appropriate as something I could support. I don't know politics here or anything so maybe there's other stuff behind things or whatever ... I can't follow what's goin on in the freakin government much less some website.

But also, it would probably be good to hold people that are vendors or tied to vendors in general to a higher standard of disclosure and operation.

I agree with most of that.. BUT attacking people here is kind of normal... the first time i came here i posted a couple of questions and got such dick responses that i didn't come back for over a month.. i'm glad i did though cause there are some cool people here.. but getting attacked seems kind of normal for this place.

P.S. i'm shocked this thread hasn't disappeared yet...

I'm relatively new so I haven't see all the hate ;) If it does disappear then so may I...

Well.. normal it isn't.. but it happens... i mean on every forum you run into asshats.. It was shocking to me cause i came here from pretty much growing shrooms and in that world it's super rare you run into people like that.. No biggy though.. just learn to tune out the negatives:)

Can think of a dozen right off hand that have been far more offensive than GG, and much les# helpful.

Been 6 or 7 years all white or white/red LEDs and now Quantum Board and COBs. His information, expertise and grows were the reason I switched, and a big reason I frequent these premises.

He's why i use Jacks.. he literally saved me thousands of dollars just in not buying over priced nutes..

It’s normal here. I searched around for about a year before becoming a member. Someone posts pic of setup and instead of real suggestions people bash their setup, their plants, etc. or they correct u for a typo. Like I said block 3 people on here and most of it goes away. You can tune out most of the rest. Give it a few days and you will see the 3 pretty quick.

Then the site is pretty good

if you think he was banned because of another advertiser you’re misinformed
