the best indicator for harvest time isn't the hairs, it is the resin glands. get yourself a 30x pocket microscope and take a peek at the glands. They should start turning a cloudy white when the plant is almost ready for harvest. when you see some of the glands turning an amber color they are starting to oxidize. peak harvest time is when most glands you see are cloudy and some of them are an amber color. you don't want to prematurely harvest the plant, the flavor will be off and the stone wont be as good. plus a lot of strains put on a good 20% of their weight during the last few weeks.

i bought a 60x-100x pocket microscope .. but its very hard for me to get clear view on the glands.. can i cut a small leaf around the bud which has some glands and see in on the table with the microscope? or do u guys have any techniques of using the pocket microscope?

well i was able to see some amber glands, just on the top of mushroom looking crystals and some are cloudy.. what is stopping me from harvest that they have been only 5 weeks in 12/12

anybody grown White Wido can tell me if its passable that in week 5 they would be ready to harvest

I grow Dutch Passion WW and my strain goes 10-11 weeks flowering. They are probably nowhere near ready if they are WW.

Snip a small piece of a leaf off & set it on a desk - put your scope on top of it to look.
My DP WW went to 12 weeks this last go round with a couple of the biggest ones not being ripe until week 14.

i have the 60-100x pocket scope & it can be difficult for a rookie. first get a bottom nug from the ww & trim it so that you dont have fan leaves or stems in the way. i always put the nug on a table or something steady. place the scope just above the nug & simply move in closer or further back till you can see clearly. youre looking for a mix of about 50 percent amber/cloudy trichs to clear ones. yeah 5-6 weeks for a ww is unheard of. i have a ww now going into week 9. good luck

thnx guys.. hairs maybe are getting brown 'Die' early becouse of the heat,,, is gets upto 100.4 Fahrenheit.. wont that kill them?

is it ok if i move them to the indor room with the other plants.. thus indoor light shuchedle is oposite of out.. so any idea what would be the be the best timing..

the high temps wont kill them but it definitely isnt good for them. my best advice is to move them to a place that has shade during the hottest part of the day. or you could ghetto rig some sort of shading device.

I wish I had more helpful info.... Well Good luck!!

White Widow's resin production in the last 2 weeks is phenomenal, leave it :)

Take off the damaged leaves too :)
