Ok... I'm going on my 3rd week into flowering and now 2 of my 9 plants are wilting and slowly dying! I have a hydro ebb n flow setup with 2 600 hps lights. I'm using Advanced nutes base nutes with bud ignitor, bud candy and voodoo juice. My ppm was at 1000 but now I'm just running pure ph water; ph at 5.6. They're 2 different strains; sour Kush and blue widow. I know its not over/under watering. But the temp has gotten very hot in there since its summer now and it's hard to control those two lights....it got as high as 89f-90f in there today... please help any advise would be appreciated, CAN I BRING MY GIRLS BACk????* :wall:
What If I switch the cycle of the 12/12 from the lights coming on at 11am - 11pm, To 6pm - 6am. Would changing da time ruin or harm my baby girls in anyway? how would I go about just changing the cycle? I was thinking I should wait tell 6pm to turn the lights back on, but they just went off at 11pm, thats 19 hours of dark time, Lol I'm Lost!!! Please point me in the right direction. I don't understand I have 2 600 what melon heads I'm sucking their coming of the light by a 420 cfm fan, it suck the air from the melon Head and room into a scrubber. I have the ace on all fuckin cycle, but it got 98-101 out side in the city I live in... Lol I'm just going crazy trying to see what is wrong so I could fix it, yesterday they looked great, but now I'm like wtf every other kind under the same exact conditions are doing great, even their sisters??? *it's just those 2 that's showing signs..... Pls help.....

I wish I could help you brother but I know what you describe here is what is scaring me away from hydro. When its "on" you cant beat the results it will give, but if the very slightest thing is off and it doesnt take much, then your screwed if you dont figure it out and figure it out quick. Water temps alone can wreck havoc on your shit, and if your dealing with the summer heat as I am in the Northeast here then good luck to ya.
I hope somebody with good hydro experience can come along and offer you suggestions here.

warmer temps and i would be looking at your roots for fungal issues could be growing on all your plants but only effecting ( or affecting ? ) the weaker ones .... maybe use a bit of hydrogen peroxide in the mix its good for getting rid of and preventing root disease in hydro .... dont ask what ratio though i cant remember :eyesmoke:

If your grow room temps are near 90 degrees you don't have enough fan action going to cool the room down.
Also, if you are running MH lights in your 600W set-ups you can help yourself a lot by switching to HPS bulbs
instead. They are much cooler to run.

I don't like your idea of switching the times your lights are on. You would have the lights off during the day time.
How are you going to keep the door open (to control temps) and not have a bad case of light leakage? Get different bulbs,
more fan action and keep the room cooler.

Good luck, BigSteve.

Oh belive me, fucked up shit happens to a lot of us. Im sure its happened to everyone who has grown for awhile. Its always something or another.
You aint alone man...Just find a way to work through it and try not to guess too much and end up making matters worse.

just because you have the perfect "set up" it doesnt mean you are giving them all the nutes they need

If u have electronic ballast u could look for a dimmer switch on em and maybe turn the lights down to 50 or 75%.

I wonder about this, isn't the whole point of growing indoors so you can control you environment, so I say hell yeah man if u can prevent light leaks in ur grow room I'd switch ur lights so that they r on in the evening and off during the day when its hottest. I mean if u feel the need to stay so close to nature that ur indoor lights have to keep the same lights schedule as the sun then ur wasting ur time, just grow outdoors.

Well 3 of the most beautiful, very healthy young girls died over night..... Lol yeah if it ain't 1 thing it's another, but the very bad thing is, 1 was 1 of 1 so I won't be getting to see her grow into a beautiful Little lady. I switched the cycle to the night, and being that the 2 600W lights are cooled with the inline thats duct to flow out of the room, a room that's AC cooled by a different duct. I also have the light duct connected to the scrubber, so with cooled lights, AC on 74, and I'm running at night time (which is the most important factor), I now have the temp controlled at 76.... Lol I hope that the over night switch didnt fuck them up, but it was 19 hours of dark on tell I turned the lights on I think that's ok????, I had the power go out here where i live for like 12 hours, but that was during veg though.... Now The girls are in flowe mode, but you know what, fuck it!!! I had to do it or they all would of died, smh!!! It was like 100 degrees in there at one point, anyway I will post further news of wat happens. Pray for me......

I've been growing in the desert for two years, and i think I've finally found the right set up. I do dwc and have my buckets sitting in a kid pool with ice water. I use frozen water bottles and nute bottles, and change the ice twice a day when it's really hot. Res temp stays perfect. I have two pools, one in a tent for veg, and another for flowering. It's incredible what this setup does for your temperature and humidity! A cheap humidifier from the pharmacy works wonders too, just change the filters frequently.
