Just pulled a seed out of my AKR at 56. I LST'd it quite late in grow so could be stress. So what happens now? can I use these seeds for next year outdoor grow
and will they effect my other plants in the grow tent .... Cheers guys
Stress alone won't cause se-eds to develop, but stress can cause male flowers to develop, and in turn those could pollinate your plant to create se-eds.
That pollen could have been from your currently grown plant(s), or even from a different plant you grew in the same space earlier.
Lots of plants will put out a few male flowers late into flowering, and they can be REALLY easy to overlook, since you'll get one or a few small "bananas" mixed into a normal cluster of female flowers. Only one male flower can potentially create a lot of se-eds. Take a look over your plant VERY carefully to see if you can find any male flowers.
Anyway, no, se-eds in your plants won't affect any other plants, and the plant with the se-eds will still be perfectly fine to smoke.
If the se-eds germinate (they may be immature), then absolutely, you could plant them next year. One plus is that if they really came from a hermied male flower, they're quite likely to be female se-eds.
I'd add here that if your seeds actually are mature, the father probably is NOT the same plant, because it takes many weeks for se-eds to mature, and unless the plant hermied early, there wouldn't have been time for full maturation. .
