Okay. My plant was great... Until I started vegging. (About 6 days ago.) Now, the top leaves are developing large patches of brown and yellow. The middle and lower leaves are are developing yellow dots... It's taking over my plant. I don't know what to do. Is there something I can possibly buy top fix it? PLease help. This is my first plant, and preflowers suggested female. And I don't want it to die.

I can't post pics up for 2 hours. But any replies of possible problems would be appreciated. ANd I'll post MANY pics as soon as I can.

you mean flowering 6 days ago i think.... plants use up alot of nitrogen in the first couple weeks of flowering because they stretch or shoot up. Yellowing may mean you have a nitrogen deficiency. You did not provide any details really so i couldnt be sure. How long did they vege? what kind of mediums is it growing in? what kind of light are you using and how much? have you used any nutes and when? How often do you water? How large is the plant and what size pot is it in?

How long did they veg? 1.5 months

What kind of medium? Miracle Grow brand potting soil

What lights? 2700K CFLs.

How much light? 72Watts

How often do you use nutes? I've used a little 10-5-5 once so far since I began flowering.

How big is my plant? About 1.5 feet tall. 7-8 nodes. Leaves coming from the nodes are small so far, but growing larger every day.

How big is the pot? The pot is 2.5 gallons. Not root bound because it's not soaking up all of the water very quickly like it tends to do when there are too many roots for the volume of the pot.

damn man. i dont know. its a good nute ratio for early flower, good size pot to plant ratio, its enough light for 1 plant (how many lights to make your 72w) may want to add a couple more, cfls are cheap enough. Do you see bugs when you look real close? I cant wait to see the pics.

5 lights make up the 72 watts. Pics will be up at 2:30.

you got bugs it sounds like man. black dots, holes, yellow patches...ewww. I once heard you are bound to get bugs with miricle grow....I have been using miricle grow organic (not organic choice just organic) and have not gotten any.

Lots of pot dots = mites (generally)
Never heard of the alcohol fix. Interesting. I hope it's real.
You have to kill the eggs too, which will hatch in 2-3 weeks. They do tend to show up when you move to warmer lights.
Depending on the extent of infestation, I might revert to veg until this were fixed.
Your plant looks sparse enough that controlling the mites shouldn't be too hard. Mites often congregate between the leaf and stalk, weaving from the leaf stem to the main stalk.

I think the standard is 3X's the amount of the size of your planter, ie:1 gallon pot, 3 gallons CLEAN water thru.
