Worms in My Plants Soil

i will post pictures soon...

i have a cute about 1 month old plant and i had to transplant it. After i had transplanted it, i have seen these clear worms crawling in my soil.

these worms weren't in the new soil. so i'm guessing they came from the soil from the original plant before i had transplanted it.

but are these worms a good thing/help for my plants?

should i worry about these worms eating my roots?

or

is the worms a benefit for my plant in which it gives off natural substances?

help!

are they tiny and do they jump? they come from bad soil, and i had to transplant and clean all their roots and use pesticide to get rid of those fuckers.

Try placing slices of raw potato on your soil's surface and see if the pests congregate there ON/IN the potato. If they do, just keep placing and replacing until your slice(s) come up clean. Problem solved, if it's fungus gnats anyway.

no...they dont jump...

but i read another forum about worms. it stated that it's actually good for your plant because its sh*t is more pure than other kinds of manure. so i'm hoping the worms are a benefit.

i just wasn't sure what kind of worms that forum was talking about. if anyone knows please help out! thanks much!

is that the best picture of the worms you can get? I couldnt see anything in there.

how big are they? you say they are clear? if they are super-duper tiny i'd say they're nematodes, which are a very very bad thing, but if they are regular worms that would be fine.

1st of all its too late to transplant after 3 weeks into flower , only some neverending strains would benefit of it more than added days between waterings but apart of it , if they havent done damge till now propably they want do any harm till u done so dont try to kill them just so cause u gonna kill everything else too and bu what it seems its only goof things inthere :p

a clear photo will give us a hint , google up some worms

Sounds like fungus gnat larvae to me...I just had a couple week war with them....Do everything you can to get rid of them before they start flying around and laying more eggs.... I found a great way to kill them is a combination of things.....first get some mosquito dunks and azamax or azatrol and use these in your regular feedings.... also use a spoon to lightly cultivate your top soil in your pots and see how many worms you have. If there are a ton of them, like in my case, you will start to notice that the leaves will start to get all distorted looking like light burn almost....this is the fungus gnat larvae chewing the living hell out of your roots..... Get rid of them immediatly because just 1 single adult fungus gnat can lay 300+ eggs at 1 time... What I found to work the best was using the mosquito dunks, azamax, and I also used at steamer (the type you iron your clothes with) and steamed the top 1" of soil in the infected pot....the steam instantly kills them, and the azamax and mosquito dunk take care of any remaining eggs or larvae. Try the steam method...it works...!! Remember they have a 30 day life cycle so do not just treat them once and think there gone..use 2 to 3 treatings over a 30 day period.... Also you can put a layer of sand or perlite on the top of your soil and this will prevent future adult fungus gnats from laying eggs....hope this helps...
