Worms in Compost?

If I add worms to my compost, will I need to, or even be able to, remove them for planting? So, What's wrong (or right) about having worms in the grow medium?

They hide at the bottom of the bin when you disturb them, mostly.
Pots run out of organics for them to eat or get dry, then they crawl out and dry up.

Hi brother. I have to disagree with you on this. I've been using worms in my pots for years and have only had 1 worm leave the pot. I'm in 7.5 gal fabric pots using Peat, compost and castings as a base. My soil stays moist, not wet and mostly its composed of organic matter. Everything a worm needs to flourish.
