Working PC ultra micro grow!

Ok, so i wanted to do an experiment to see if i could successfully veg and flower one small plant inside a working pc for a small amount of bud for personal use. The grow has to be stealth because im only 16, and where as my mum knows about the grow and doesn’t really mind, my dad does not. So it can go ahead so long as it stays hidden. I had read about pc grows but had no spare cases lying around, so it had to be inside my working pc case!
Upon removing the HD and DVD RW chassis and minimising pcu wires there is abit of room in my full tower case. Unfortunately the case has a side view window (that was cool when i built it at 13) and so stopping light leakage was my next problem. I decided to build a box that would fit inside the pc. 20cm x 20cm x 40cm high, this would stop most light leakage.
The box is vented by two 8cm case fans, wired to a plug, and one 34w 6400K CFL for veg, kicking out 1500 lumens. Ill hav to get a 2700K for flower. I figured this would be enough light due to the exceptionally small grow space!
I germinated 2 bag seed and planted up when the tap roots where about 1cm long. If these bagseed do grow i have some cheeky lowryders i got off a friend.

Seeds have bin planted for 2 days but still no movement above ground...ill give em a few more days. What do y'all think?

Nah its not really my style. So you think this thing could grow a small plant? I did grow a plant a few months back in similar set up with less light, but it was a bigger space. If not ill hav to wait to plant outside again!

Well my dad casually grows himself outdoors, were its free. Its more the electricity he thinks im using. But he wont even notice one extra bulb on his statement XD His impression of indoor growing is a room full of HID's!

bad idea posting that ur 16 and ur mom knows abotu ur grow!!!!! i know ur only 16 but come on man be smarter about it!...dont tell ANYONE about ur grow!!!....and ur lucky this thread is still up!...mod will prob shut it down once he reads ur only 16!

i dont think you will be able to pull it off, unless you had a clone or auto-dwarf and went straight into 12/12. the stretch will get you. high temps will also be a problem, and since your plant transpires, the high humidity inside your working comp case will be a problem for you processor.
i used to keep a comp in my grow room, till the humidity fried the motherboard (and my grow room has central a/c)

I don't think it should matter if he's 16 if his parents grow. It's a whole different story if he is disrespecting his parents by not letting them know.

Ive got some lowryder..you rekon that on a 12/12 from seed is likely better option? I was gna swap to 12/12 when i had a few nodes of growth. The plant could get aba 30cm tall atm, 40cm with abit of a mod to the box.

But dude seriously, your not gonna have anything growing in a WORKING pc. There is a huge chance of ruining your computer. But its up to you.

Im with you there on the actuall rules of RIU gnome. Ill see if i can move it sumplace else from a pc then...looks like its back to the drawing board!

any auto flowering plant should be put into 24/7 and kept there.
there is no need to go to 12/12, as the plant will flower regardless.

Oh yeah, that makes sense.

ill shift the whole box from pc to empty cupboard, then can see how it goes in the box. No doubt it will soon outgrow n ill hav to jus dedicate the cupboard to growing...that suits me =p

No I'm 19 and I live with my parents too. They are fine with me growing no more then 2 plants. I'm just saying that atleast he isn't disrespecting his parents. But I did start growing when I was 16.

woooa woooa wooooooa there son!!!..i never once tryed making either one of u out to be a bad person!...i dont know u from a hole in the wall!..i wouldnt judge u!...all im saying is that its not the smartest thing to be posting on the internet that ur parents know u grow "in there house"!!!...u ever get busted,its ur parents that r gunna get fucked!!!..i never said u were bad ppl cause ur growing at an early age!..shit my first grow i was 17..but its was outdoor...atleast i was out there learning shit just like u r rite now!...again this is just my 2 cents!

surely it doesnt matter on age as long as their responsible and knowlegable? I'd consider myself fairly knowledgable, i jus wanna put the theory into practice, n came to those more knowledgable for more advice. Is that not allowed?
