Ok so ive built my room and its a small closet grow maybe 2'x4'x5'. I am alittle nervous to work with a lighting system above 250W tho i know my yield might be affected its ok unless someone knows a way around my issues =). Im not the electrician type and i dont want any issues so i was hoping to buy an already built digital ballasted system set up for HPS and 120v (im guessing its 120 that say your TV would plug into) or it might be 110v lol. And since its in a small space im gonna need the flange setup to hook up ducking /filter/fan etc. And from what ive read theres an electrical issue with connecting timers to the light/outlet and i was wondering if anyone has come across this issue before and could lead me to a post or can answer my question. Plus reps to all ofcourse =)

Not to sure what your question is really, but I was looking at the HTG Digital 400 watt setup, with the Euro reflector, or the Easy cool 6 reflector. The give you a free dual outlet timer, and you can add Yo-Yo's for $10. Probably get it all shipped for about $300-320, with both bulbs. I think that is the best deal I have seen yet.

Second that. 400 Watts with air flow. And if temps stay down why not throw in some FL for fun. 600 watt 4X4 - 1000 Watt 5x5. I believe that is how it works out.

whats ur high t limitation ? if u have enough head room a 400 watt will do better for u. ive used both in small spaces but i didn't have a hight restriction.

besides light is only gonna penetrate about 3 feet down into the plant in a crowded room.

Well its one of those closets where at like 5'8" is one of those boards that acts like a shelf. I figure the tote is about what 1' so that would leave about 4'8" for everything else and considering the light reflector etc will take what like 8"?.......lemme see if i cant get her to change her mind about cutting out that shelf =). Man i wish it was MY GF then thered be no discusion hehe. But ya my question was in regards to if anyone knew a complete (idiot proof basically) set up for the lighting system and my concerns about the timer. Bob ima look into that setup and at the same time put pressure on that damn shelf lol. Bob saget is funny as hell in stand-up btw never knew till i saw it hehe. Plus reps all

Lot's of air from outside the closet. You will never keep the temperature down if you close up closet. Even with a sealed hood or even a cool tube it will still be warmer then 85 in that closet in no time. If you can put a inlet down low and outlet up high, and run even the cheap duct booster fans from the hardware store you will be able to keep the temps down better.

"In with the good air, out with the bad."

Remeber most lights are better heaters than lights. Just the nature of the beast. You pay more in electric for the heat they generate than you do for the light. Now you have to find a way to blow most/all of the that heat out of the room.

Don't fret it is worth it. You will get it. This forum is great for input. Listen to everybody and then go ahead and do it your own way. We all do that alittle. You may just end up with the best grow per watt we have seen.

Most off all never let it stres you. Just grow, adapt ,and keep smilin' it will work out for you in the long run.

Timers.

I have had alot of luck with the timers that are solt at places like Harbor Frieght and Tool. They cost around $10 and can hand 15 AMPS. If you keep your lights below 600 watts they work good. I kow there are better timers but for the price difference I can buy 4 of those cheaper ones. And they have up to 8 ONs and OFFs programable. If you look around most hardware stores have timers that will work for your first time.

The friend would stress me out before the project unfortunately hehe. But exactely i intend on using like 4-6" duck to bring the air in and the same for the exit running it thru the light then into the filter then out the closet. Figure ill find some kind of grated cover to somewhat camo the hole on the outside just for security. As far as fans im alittle stumped aswell considering ive never worked with such a heat source. I was thinking of getting one of those thermostats that allows electrical current and running the fans thru that, but i might just leave them on all the time not sure yet. Am hoping to not spend much on the fans as im already up to 300 or so and i havent bought the pump or lights yet either lol. Basically the extent of my room is its all mounted for electricity, walls are covered, totes are set up and almost functional( except for the water pump ofcourse) Ive heard things about these computer fans....where would i get one of these? and if they work so great for 20% of the price why wouldnt everyone use em eh? lol...well i guess ill find out as i go any advice is always appreciated. Seems its telling me i have to pass around the love before i can +rep some of yall again

Any thoughts on a better setup thatll be cooled for the price?.....and does all that gear seem to match up i always thought houses ran on 120v not 110. Also confused cause i believe the ballast runs off 120v why would they offer me a 110v cord? lol
