Alright here's the situation. i have a box about 5'x3'x'6 within a room. i have a window unit in the window and planned on tubing the air from the unit into the intake of my box, but i dont need it to run all day, just every once in a while.

but i also dont want to not have it tubed to my box and have my intake sucking in the ambiant air because i dont want to run the ac long and hard to keep the whole room at around 67 degrees

anybody know if i can put the 5000btu ac unit on a timer. on the manual it said not to hook it up to a converter but i dont know if anybody has any experience with this

The ac unit would need to be in the box to only cool the box. Digital ones can't be on an external timer either only on all the time set at whatever temp you want on the built in thermostat.

huh, well not too much help to me. i guess ill just ahve to experiement. i will be venting from the ac unit into the cab, maybe just not the whole amount of cooled air, iv made the cab right so it'll pull air into it and my intake will be hooked up to a 4'' venting tubing, the kind you'd get a hydro shop. im surprised noone else has done this, well im sure they have..so stop by and let a brotha know!
