Will Trichromes ALWAYS change color?

So I have 6 plants that have been flowering for 67 days. One of the ladies is an original haze so im not expecting that any time soon. The other 5 however, refuse to change their trichrome color. The pistils have changed, buds seem to have swelled, but still no amber trichromes. My question is, will amber trichromes show on every strain? The other strains getting close are pure kush, and sky walker og. I Attatched some pictures, if someone could tell me what the deal is, or to just hold my damn horses that would be great.

Yes, they will always change color, as they mature. To my knowledge, there are no exceptions.

The pics are pretty small, but I'd say they are coming along fine, and'll be another two weeks, give or take a little. What kind of light are you using? Weak lights = slower maturity.

600w with a good reflector. I vegged them with CFL's though do you think that has anyhting to do with them taking a long time? Are any plants done in 60 days of flowering like they are supposed to be? Sure doesnt seem like it....

^Usually, the flowering times given by seedbanks, are best case scenario, optimum conditions, a flawless grow, 1000 watt lights, hydro, etc..... and are rarely achieved by most growers. If a strain claims to be a 8-10 week finisher, figure on 10, and go from there, dependeing on your skill/setup. :)

Also, it depends on whether they were mature enough for flowering, before being put on 12/12. From seed, it takes 4-6 weeks to show preflowers, have alternating nodes, etc...showing that they have reached adolescence, and are ready to flower. Clones, are already at adlolescence, and are genetically the same age as the mother plant, so this doesn't apply to them.

Very informative, Thanks. I know exactly what your tlaking about when you say preflowers. I am vegging my current babies and they have been in the veg room for 9 weeks. they are looking big. About 1/50 tricromes has now turned orange on my plants. If you have any quick curing advice that would be great too. I know the buds have potential and look good on the plant but im screwing something up in the cure....or just not waiting long enough. When a cure wicks the moisture from the inside out, is it a one time thing (meaning you would let the nugs get super dry hanging then just wick all the moisture out one time), or is it a slow process that will wick moisture everytime you burp your jars after the dry? Ive been curing for 11 days and still have sort of a clorophyll smell going on? How do you know when they are done? Thanks in advance for any tips.
