Will this selfemade Airpot work?

I dont think so, Fiete. I've yet to use them but from my understand those cone shaped thingys help guide the roots for air pruning.

This is not the same as an airpot.

However it will help you not over water as oxygen can get in through the sides.

I have a couple of pots done just like that. They dry out faster than the ones with no holes drilled.

I still use grow bags though. Just my personal preference.

Idk. I just figure it would take more water for it to 100% absorb into the medium. Maybe leaving a spot at the bottom hydrophobic.
I don’t use either so I shouldn even be talking

Not the same but better then NOT drilling holes in them. I know people that would rather do that then spend the $$$ on real airpots. They also grow amazing plants and don’t credit the pots ever. Use what you like and know. I love fabric pots, but that’s me
