Will these low bay MH lights work?...

I can buy these for $50 each on craigslist...would they work well for veg? Since they're so cheaply available to me, should I pick up more than one and use some to flower?

you need to change the bulb to a grow light, the ones they come with are the wrong spectrum (4000 K) then it will make a great grow light. If you change the bulb to a warm MH you can flower with it too.

yes they will. just seperate the socket from the rest of the houseing and your good to go. im not sure were you are but i see some for $25 in oregon. what you have or can get is still a dam good buy.

appears that's true, they're made that way so they'll operate in a horizontal reflector too. Long as your ballast is compatible (M59 type) they'll work.
