Hi all,
I am doing a DWC PC grow of Easy Ryder with CFLs in a DIY case (journal link in sig). I have a total of four fans. Two intake, and two exhaust. There is a 120mm and an 80mm of each. The 120mm fans have green LEDs, and only one is exposed to the inside of the case so I'm not worried about that at all. However, the 80mm fans each have three blue LEDs. I'm assuming they're like standard diodes, most likely 1W a piece. Only about half of the light gets through from the front intake fan, but the entire exhaust fan is exposed to the inside of the case and it is obvious that there is some blue light reflecting around in the case when the CFLs are turned off. Will this 3-6W of blue LED exposure harm the plant's growth at all during the night cycle? I am aware that autoflowers don't care much about light proportions, but I'm planning on doing 20/4 for the majority of the grow. I guess what I'm asking is: will these 4 hours of darkness be "wasted"?
Thanks very much. Happy growing!
