Lower Southern hemisphere, right? Around the Melbourne/Adelaide/Perth kinda-sorta latitude?
If you put it outside, it'll have a short-lived reaction to the longer light period, then quickly adapt to the ambient light levels, but bear in mind that the sun doesn't turn on/off like a set of lights. There's going to be some "fuzziness" in its reaction to the change.
Bottom line: if you're out of vertical space inside & don't want to get into wrestling the thing with super-cropping etc., then just put her outside & be a happy camper.
