on the package it says 17 watt energy usage but 75 watt output. if i have three that would be 225 watts in an area that is only about two feet tall i plan on just using it for seedling/ cloning/ partial veg area. i plan on getting an mh light soon just need a get me by

i used that same light for mine for the first 2-3 weeks not knowing what i was doing...and from the looks of mine compared to others same age mine are rather small, but the cfls i bought is moving them right along. Iwas going to do the mh but i was worried about the venting and cooling part=more electrical stuff that this ole girl knows nothing about lol...anyways keep us updated on how its working for you and good luck

only be able to cover more space with more bulbs without any power gain.

get the mH tomorrow and save yourself the time.

main reason for not getting an MH yet is due to the fact that i dont have that kind of cash laying around at the moment. lol

i should have the cash with in a couple days.....but i plan on getting a digital ballast so i can run an MH first and then run a HPS light when its flowering time...good idea??? Im getting the Super Sun 2 reflector (6" of course) decent set up?

i wouldn't know whether a digi is worth the price compared to an "analog" system, but how many plants you plan on growing?

and i forgot to mention, what kind of ducting are you going to use and what are you going to do to help reflection, if not just use the aluminum reflector that that Super Sun 2 has already?

if you can post pics of your box and setup.

D port is exactly right...there is a huge misconception on watts...you do not add them together...you simply get more coverage by placing more around the plant...doesnt mean you have more watts at all. they will grow shitty plants...as far as money goes...I hear ya too...but get that hid goin as fast as possible...once you get it just let them veg longer and you will be fine...but you are gonna have almost zero real growth till then. hope that helps. :blsmoke:

way to be bro! you sir get a rep+ for being a smart shopper. should work great and I hear MH will grow some tight ass nuggets....but if you can get a hps too for flowering you will be an even happier fellow. Either way....hell yeah man! :hump:

i plan on buying a 400w hps for when flowering rolls around but that 250 should be fine for a refrigerator shouldn't it? i mean for the vegetative state i shouldnt need anything bigger then that in such a small space especially if i mylar right? i know the hps produces bigger denser buds being as it is more towards the red spectrum of light produced. also in my fridge there are racks could i use one of these racks for a ScrOG grow? the other rack holds my mh light it turned out better then i had planned ill upload photos later.
