Will it be ready by

Hey guys, I have an autoflower called auto assassin, sounds potent lol.
I started growing it on the 18th, so its 3 weeks old now. The site I got it from said it would take 8 to 9 weeks to harvest.

I'm only using cfl's so I thought it would take around 11 weeks but I have very big cfl's. Anyway here's a pic and do you guys think this plant could be done in 6 more weeks?

8 to 9 weeks to harvest from seed?

No god damned way.

Even people that have high end lighting and hydroponics can't do it that fast. You have to veg at least 4 or 5 weeks. 6 or 8 is better. Then you'll have to flower at least another 8 weeks.

You were either lied to or you misunderstood. They probably said it has an 8 week flower stage, which is easily doable with certain strains.

You can't choose how long to veg an auto flower. You can kinda influence when she flowers with some factors in your grow but it's not an absolute.

That being said most autos will begin flowering in 25-45 days depending on various factors such as pot size, environment and lighting schedule and genetics.

Flowering typically lasts anywhere from 50-80 days, again depending on several factors. There are alot of variables to come into play.

That being said, it's impossible to tell by looking at a 3 week old plant how long it will take to finish. The only way you could make a reasonable guess would be if you've ran the same strain before under the same conditions.

Just by looking at that small plant at 3 weeks tells me no way will it be ready in 8 or 9 weeks. Metabolism and growth is just not fast enough under your current conditions.

Won't be ready in a 6 weeks. Hopeful thinking but time and patience are the real key to a good harvest.

it's an autoflower strain. He can't choose how long to veg. It all happens on its own

Regardless of light times, etc

It takes as long as it takes. What's the rush? Will you trash it if it takes longer than 6 weeks?

It'll take about 3 weeks to start flowering. It'll then take another 7-8 weeks at least for the flowers to mature properly. You're typically looking at 10 weeks (70 days) as a minimum.

I ran a fast flowering auto that I got as a freebie. It was supposed to be ready in 45-55 days... I harvested it around 55 days and looking back it should have gone another 2 weeks.

The auto you posted a picture of is 3 weeks old and hasn't really started flowering from the looks of it. It'll not be ready for 7-8 weeks at the very least (IMO).
