Will a plant grow more bud post harvest?

Heres the situation.
I have recently acquired a plant of unknown strain but indica based. It has been harvested and then neglected. There are reddish-brown spots in places with some branches dead. Its been about 2 weeks since my acquisition and I have been caring for it to the best of my knowledge. Soil ph is 6.5 and all nutrient tests have come back with positive results with acceptable levels. Room temp is approx 75 degrees. I know the plant is still alive because since I have been showing it the love, it has started leafing out again. (theyre cute. Hope shines) The plant is situated in a northern facing window and gets approx. 12 hours of sunlight per day in these awesome SoCal winters.

My question is, am I wasting my time? Will potency suffer permanently? Are there any tips you guys and gals have for rejuvenating this poor little orphan girl?

I am a newbie grower and am assuming I dont know my ass from my elbow, so any and all advice is appreciated no matter how basic. Thanks in advance

Yes you can but you need to re-veg it, which means a 18/6 minimum light cycle, the window thing will not do much for it, because it will think it is still flowering.

re-veg it till it gets new good growth (which is up to you to decide) but I would go 5 to 6 weeks or till it has 12 or more inches of new growth then put it back on 12/12

Good Luck

Right on,,,, thats what I was thinking after reading an article on cloning a plant from the flowering stage,,,, but you confirmed it.... thanks for the info
