im doing a little grow closet useing a box im not looking to get pounds i just want a couple ounces of smokable bud.
i got 2 26wat cfls 1610 lumens each *6500k*
and 1 20 watt cfl 1200 lumens each *2700k*
when im ready to flower i will exchange the 2 6500k with 2700k
will this be good enough ive heard of people growing with 3000 lumens before 111115_001421.jpg111115_001602.jpg111115_001521.jpg

I think a couple of ounces is a bit optimistic. Aim for a maximum of 1 zip and it's a bonus if you get any extra

You have to remember a 400w HPS is 10x more powerful and you ain't gonna get near 20 ounces from it.

Just so you ain't disappointed.

ok dude here is the old school of thought. you need a minimum of 3ooo lumens per square foot. so if your growing in a 2'x3' boxthats 6 square feet you need 18000 lumens. That doesnt even begin to get scientific with the PAR of your lights and what have you. go with the 3000 lumens (or a minimum of 60 watts per sq foot) and you wont go wrong. Better yet save some loot and splurge on a HPS or be like moi and hijack a 400 watter from a roof top and buy yourself a hood for 60-80 dollars and use the all in one light as a ballast. Good luck
