Will 12/12 work now?

Hey all,

I was wondering if these babies can be thrown on a 12/12 now. I am guessing there about a month old, there between 5 and 7 inches tall right now. They are a fast flowering indica strain (about 40 days to flower). They have been vegging under 6, 32 watt t8 natural sunshine bulbs with low profile reflectors in the fixture and i plan on finishing them off under the same fixtures, although i plan on swapping in 3 wide spectrum bulbs for more red light. Im not expecting much with the lights im using, this is more of a side project for me and dont want to mess with the hid's. I want to flower now so that i dont pass the reccomended 30 inch mark for the fluro lights and i know there are going to grow more during flowering. So can i flower now? what kind of yeilds can i expect dry? can anyone reccomend good fluro bulbs for flowering?

technically, you can go to 12/12 whenever you want, some people even go 12/12 from seed. its really a matter of preference, are they tall enough for you? they will double or triple in size on average, so i would first start with what your max size is. from there, you can decide how tall you want them before you switch.

i personally just go about a month of veg, or up to at least 6 nodes, whichever comes first. but thats just me.

Yeah you can, if you can't wait any longer then go ahead.
If you don't have any worries though and you can grow them how ever long you want, I suggest letting them grow to about 6 inches, topping them, letting them grow to 12 inches, then start LST while flowering.

Same with me usally about 6 weeks of veg. and there usally about 2 foot for my by then some time bigger but are always very bushy. the 12/12 when ever you want basicly, any time you wanna get em to 12/12 go right ahead but think of the size for your needs 1st.

you can flower any time you want.

Im' sure someone has already answered your question.. but yes you can flower now.

but for future reference, you can flower whenever you want too. You don't havegive a plant any veg time if you don't want too.. but.. I would highly recommend at least giving your plants at least 2 weeks of vegging if not 3. Will help your end yield dramatically compared to growing a plant that has been given no veg time at all.. and simply flowering from sprout or "seed". But, most people that do that are the ones that are in a BIG hurry or usually people that want to flower from seed, are the noobs that have no patience to begin with. ;)

Anyhow, good luck to ya. Plants look nice and green and healthy! Keep up the good work man.

peace..
