Wiggly Stems

I have 22 plants growing in the greenhouse (uk) however most of the plants have really thick but wiggly stems (they are bent in all directions) they are all growing up but at funnt angles. the only thing I can think of is that this year I have used perlite with my soil and its not quite strong enough to hold the weight. would this be a cause of my probelm or could it be something else? I want to start to force half of them into flowering soon and im worryed they will collapse under the extra weight of the buds.

Like I said above the stems are REALLY thick they just seem to be growing in funny directions, they are in the middle of the greenhouse and get direct sunlight for 90% of the day.

sounds like you just need to stake them up! put a stick or anything you can find in the pot next to the plant..and use a string.twin.breadtie..whatever tie it loosly around the plant..not killing her..just loosly around the stick and the stem to hold her up...
