Hi,
I am gonna start my first indoor growing, here is some questions:
Can someone tell me why we need use a Fan in a growing room? what it is used for? does it necessary? I dont have enough room for a Fan, it is OK that not put a fan in?

A fan is a must you should never go without some kind of breeze for your plants. I use a couple of 120mm pc fans dangling from the top of my tent. the movement of the plant is necessary to make the stem thick and strong and without a fan or a fan that's too weak you end up with a weak thin stem which could quite easily cause it to snap when a plant becomes top heavy.

Fan are needed for air movement and help the plant "breath" There is a formula to determine the # of fans needed for your growing space. Size of grow area? If a small area one can get a small fan, suggest you get one, they also help in heat issues. On needs to replace the air in the grow room every few minutes . Hope this helps. this adds to what pedrovski said

fans on the plant making stems stronger is another forum myth. You need air movement to prevent mold and to circulate c02 and oxygen. direct air on a plant will cause wind burn. Also air exchanges are only necessary in a open grow room, a sealed room does not do exchanges, as c02 is supplemented.

Holy shit Chuck I was too nice to you on other threads. WTF are you talking about.

Air movement has the exact effect of causing stems to thicken and become stronger. Air movement over a leaf will not cause windburn unless you are in a hurricane. And your opinion on air exchanges mystifies me.

REALLY, Putting a fan directly on my plants have never strengthened the stems, proper training did, it only caused the leaves near the fan to discolor.
