Only place ive seen police helicopters is along the river here. They scan up and down. I grew a few plants outdoors in the middle of the woods once and they did fine. So why is all i hear " you have to be near water source "? Is that only for places where there is little rainfall like in the west?

being near a water source doesnt mean right along the banks of the river, but as long as you are near, say, within 50-100yrds because the soil will be moister and all plants in the area will be better

Noice point NukeEm, been trying to do something about my clay soils so I'll keep that in mind. Got lost in the woods by my plants(a good sign!) and ended up at a river, so pretty convenient if I can find it again.

And yea, mostly because water's heavy, and I got tired of bringing a backpack with just two gallons all summer last season.

Creek/river are some of the best places to grow in because they provide seclusion, foliage to hide your plants in, and water.
