White Widow, Small Indoor Grow, 150w CFL

Hey everyone this is my grow journal for White Widow. Unfortunately I wasn't brought to this site until after my grow had begun. So I will be journaling from here on out through 4 weeks of flowering. I have been growing in this set up for two years, I want to do bigger grow set ups but the space I am in cannot fit one. I think growing in a small environment has been helpful and taught me a lot, but when I move from SF, I will be growing bigger. I look forward to learn a lot from everyone and any tips or questions I am open to. I have some pics from earlier harvests from this grow box I will post also.

Lets get down to the business now haha
Strain: White Widow (got from a friend down southern cali)
Grow Box: Closest Box from BC Northern Lights
150w CFL
DWC with Top Feed system
2 gal tank
Full Fox Farm Hydro Line Nutrients

As babies I got them at about 2 inches healthy, Had 6 clones unfortunately only 3 made it on the trip back up to SF. My biggest plant accidentally got topped in the trip so it has two tops now(plant 2). Had a little calcium deficiency problem but dealt with it and the plant seems now to be getting in a groove.

Plant 1: 13in
Plant 2: 13in
Plant 3: 12in

Time for Pics!!!!!

As of right now we are in Day 28 of Flowering.
Ill post with an update probably around Sunday.

It's 2' x 1'6" x 2'6" so ideal plant height would be 16in because the CFL doesn't get to hot but I had one grow cycle with a plant that exceeded that. It took some work to fit and some got burned a little . I'll post pics of that harvest, got 48g dried was shocked. Strain was a chem dogg crossed with an unknown father. I still have like 30 to 50 seeds of this, don't know whether male or female.

They are looking good, the smell is getting stronger day by day. WW is a good strain to grow and would look into growing this again.

Had a tiny bit of nutrient burn on few leaves. Took care of the problem and they are looking good. Started to fill out a little more which had me worried for a little because they were a little skinny. All the buds are starting to get denser.

Going to to say at least another 3 weeks before ill even think about flushing or going another week. Trying to flower for 60-63 days.

Hey here is an update, everything looking good, a little leaf coloration but its okay.

ph has been a pain.... No matter how much ph up I put I could not get a balanced ph, eventually I got it.

noticable growth, my main top has increased it's bulk and so are the others. All buds are super dense, getting excited but so tough be patient.

Pictures are sideways oh well..

Mmm them girls look good! It's a delicious strain eh... gonna be a while before my baby ww's reach this point, but in the meanwhile I'll be checking on your babes, waitin' on days to pass... :weed:

Haha I know, its tough being patient. They look and smell so good plus it's a super resilient strain too, I definitely will look into growing ww again sometime. Lucky I got only like 3 weeks left and I'm still going crazy. SpaceBuddha you got a journal for your WW?

No journal as of yet, but I might make soon as I begin transplanting the babies to 80l containers.
Also got some crystal, great white shark and ice babies coming up, so it should be an interesting bunch!

edit: got my journal up today in case u wanna have a looksie. ^^

Here we go, I am going to be flying out today to go to some spring training games in Arizona, so I won't be able to update next Thursday but on Sunday I will post with harvest day picks.

I am seeing close to 10% amber trichs, the rest cloudy. About 90% of the hairs are receding and the calyxes are swollen like crazy. These babies are close, going to go another week then flush with just ph'd water for about 4 days. I haven't grown dense nuggets like this before, they are like rock hard. Really excited here are some pics.

Oh and some of the leaves seem to be dying or something haha but since I got such little time to go they will be okay. At harvest day it will total 60 days flowering. Which is right in the middle of flowering time for WW from what i have read on RIU. Lastly I will give them 36hrs of darkness before harvest, I understand its not like nature and people argue that it does nothing but I am going to give it a try. Also I heard WW was a good strain to do it with so we shall see.

thanks BS7

Lookin very good man. Definitely looking close I think you got the timetable down. I have heard that when flushing, if you are not using a clearing agent, using a very weak nute solution is better than plain water. Something about the salts from the growing medium needing something to bind to and assist flushing. I use clearex and really like it but I hear alot of people just using a weak solution.

Stoneslacker that's a good idea, I will look into that. When you say 'weak nutrient solution' do you mean use your normal nutes just really low amount?

@spacebuddha I am excited too, I am flying home in the next hour so the update will be here tonight. My roommate confirmed they are ready, and I haven't seen them in 10 days so it will be an great Easter surprise. I'll update sometime tonight

Justindee yeah I enjoy cfl growing and my plants seem to love it. I have been growing with cfl for years now. I think it's a great for your first couple grows because you don't have to deal with much heat issues and they really do grow beautiful buds. I can only describe the density of my buds on the plant as 'rock hard' so it can produce quailty bud. I am switching to hps and a bigger grow envirmoment that holds bigger plants for my next grow cycle to just keep progressing my skill. As for details, I am using a dwc/top feed system in a closet grow box. Only 150 watt cfl, I am using fox farms whole hydro line with solubles. I have 3 plants at 13inch tall, vegged from clone. I'll will be posting some pics after I trim tonight so ill update with that in a couple hours.

Here are some pics of the White Widow harvested. She smells crazy, it instantly smells sweet and a little minty. It is super white and I got some good pics, I hope you enjoy, feel free to ask any questions.

After I trimmed the plants I put them in my closet with complete darkness, and a fan just circulating air. I will wait till the stems bend but do not break, and the outside of the bud is dry. Next I will do the final trim before I put the bud into jars to cure and I will place them in a dark place. I will be saving the trim to make cannabutter, even tho I may not get a lot of trim I will still make some butter, a little is better then nothing. I will post a link with the smoke report plus a couple updates of cured bud shots and final weight. Thanks for checking my grow out.
