Hello,

I have grown 2 WW Auto from ILGM with poor results. One (outside) didn't do anything cuz I topped it on day 31 (My Fault?) and one (inside) grew so tall (46"!!!!) that it was too tall for my grow room and hermied (I think too close to light).

So, now I am going to do another round in 3 weeks since I have 7 left.

1) HAS ANYONE grown WW AUTO from ILGM and if so, when did you top it??? I definitely need to top it. I am thinking @ day 21 instead this time?
2) Because winter and I need the heat, I am wanting to grow it at 18/6 for the entire grow - is this fine?

Usually by day 21 a good healthy growing auto should have 4 full nodes and the 5th just comming in. This is when i top. Just above the 4th and cutting off the 5th. If i don't have this at 21 days than i don't top her.
 
I'm growing ilgm ww auto, but plan on lst , maybe a little supercropping. I didn't think we're supposed to top autos if can help it. Know post is late. Hope all worked out
 
I avoid topping Autos, unless you're confident you can make the whole grow without any mistakes... Becuase one over water, one lock out, one underwater or over nute... and it most likely wont recover... and you'll get less than desired....maybe I will top my third run of gorilla glue from ilgm....the first, i overwatered...then got gnats, still got 1.5 oz dry from it, potent potent smoke... even tho i completely dropped the ball... all that happened by week 3... just hit 4.5 wks on my second grow.... and Lst is done... and its going much better.... Here are my ilgm results....I forgot to take pics of it dry.. but you get the point..First indoor/organic grow....I'd honestly suggest using LST week 2-3 slap her down real good... and keep that watering and ph in check...then you wont have any troubles with it growing to big....I got 1.5oz dry from a plant that was... like... 18" tall? WW/gg/brucebanner/skywalker ive seen some pretty dank weed come from ILGM genetics (auto that is). idk about their other strands. Good luck.

That's some pretty bud! Hats off to you sir! I've never run autos before, only photo bagseed hybrids. My last Jane doe weed turned out way better than the bud it came from. I'm hoping to get some ilgm dank also. With help from this place chances look good

It was okay, just don't get twitchy like I did and over water, btw idk what medium you guys chose for your Autos but this thread, really got me going in the right direction....(Im almost positive I could've gotten 1/4 lb .5 lb off this plant if I didnt over water,,,,)_

And as for ILGM seeds.. people tend to like to hate on them, my hypothesis is....people suck when they're first starting out, ilgm is a big name... first on google.. etc... they buy the seeds... they fuck up.. like Amateurs do... Find a thread saying "ilgm sucks" and cry in said thread till they feel vindicated that it wasn't their fault,(feels like half the country uses this insane method to get by these days. ;) .....then they run to buy diff seeds, ofcourse have more experience, Do better..... and call it ilgm genetics fault... but i've personally seen blue dream, ww, bruce banner, gorilla autos from ilgm produce 20%+ thc buds.... and atleast 3-4 zips per plant in 3-5 gallon pots....and even all my older buddies who used to gorilla grow on state-land in the 80-90s were talking about how tasty it was, and smooth and a good buzz..and these guys.. used to produce 100s of lbs when they were younger...so Idk... Thats my theory, i got 15 gg autos femmed for 100bux.... everyone one of them has germed so far, even the little white ones...and if they don't... they're send you you're money back... cant beat that.
 
Well said. I am using ffof just like a lot of others. I heard it was too hot, but other than a little leaf twist on the first true leaves ,they are growing fast. Hell I used m.g. on my last grow and it was great.(nothing but water for last week)
I have heard autos are picky about medium so I put 2 in ffof and 1 in m.g. . Zero difference after 2 weeks.
 
And I'm happy with ilgm too. They were fast and easy. I planted 3 and got 3 within 3 days. Like you I believe a lot of the bad rap ilgm genetics gets is b.s. We all fuck up in the beginning. I learn every day a and every plant. Hell, now I am shocked I ever got any buds the way I used to grow. Lol .
 
My ww autos are all doing great so far. 3 weeks in and they all have 3 sets of 5 finger leaves. And they are praying like a death row inmate.
 
I didn't top. Just lst and I plan on some supercropping. They sprouted Nov 8. I'm using ffof also. Yours look good. Gives me an idea of what mine will look like. They seem to be a hardy strain

I don't top my autos either, my opinion autos have come a long way and most of my plants are about 3,3.5 feet tall.

Just about everything got from ILGM was a waste of time. Sorry for being blunt. If you're looking to grow good autos I suggest Mephisto. I hear Night Owl are great also.
 
Any of you guys watch Dr autoflower YouTube channel. He uses a lot of lst and leaf tucking (he also has a lot of $1000+ lights but that's another story) I learned some stuff from him, Mr Canuck's grow is another. No you can't expect their results. ( They get free seeds too) but you can pick up some tips. I just like watching people grow dank weed .
 
Ilgm is alright for me so far. I haven't had a chance to use mephisto. I'm sure they are great but when I needed seeds they were out so.... I'll take the cheap quick Genetics I'm already growing over waiting on, well anything..lol. seriously, I'm gonna try a couple other places when I have time/cash/room.

JBC seeds has Mephisto right now at reduced prices. There is a definite lack of size I saw when comparing ilgm to Mephisto, mosca, short stuff just to name a few. The ilgm always came out smaller. I've yet to have a problem germinating or growing them though...but coupled with being overpriced and the lack of freebies, they are not even on my list of places to buy from.
