White Widow Auto up for trade

I am on my first grow right now, and these seeds didn't come from ILGM. They came from Jane's Reserve Seedbank, they're White Widow feminized, I think they are doing pretty good. Week 3 of flowering. I have seeds I ordered from ILGM for my next grow, hopefully they'll be good.View attachment 5363824
Damn.. nice set up for 1st grow! I just had potted up plants in the back of the house using Ed cow and chicken manure!

Just a heads up, don't buy seeds from "I love growing marijuana" their prices are insane and they are lying. White Widow auto didn't win any cannabis cups in 1995 because white widow auto didn't exist in 1995.

If you want to find what you like, I would advise buying from reputable banks or breeders.
ILGM is lazy about separating photo and auto info. Another example being the 5-15 oz per plant for an auto, not to mention listing WW (autos) as a '95 CC winner. But my experience with ILGM is near 100% germination, and they quickly send replacements for any that don't pop. Expensive? Sure. It also hurts to buy a single seed for $24 from Mephisto (or $90 for 7 seeds). ILGM has been running a decent 10+10 deal on rotating cultivars - $119 for 20 seeds that all pop is an amazing price. Pic is a recent ILGM Purple Haze photo run. No drama, no bullshit, just healthy seeds. If they fuck up, I'd be the first to bitch, so I'm trying not to bag on someone's complaint. But solely in my opinion, their prices are not insane, and there's a big difference between lying and lazy. Maybe they take for granted we aren't stupid enough to think it was an auto that won the '95 cup, or that growers are pulling almost a pound from an auto.
Peace.

Personally, I don't judge quality off of germ rates, but if you're happy with them, I'm not here to rain on anybodies parade.

I just hate the Auto marketing with a passion.

A couple others for seedbanks, North Atlantic seed bank, DC seed exchange, Multiverse beans. Also if you order direct from breeders, usually great freebies. Jean-O's genetics out of Michigan.

I was told ILGM was a very reputable site. I just ordered some more from them. ☹
Where do you recommend buying seeds from in the US?
ILGM does an excellent job at driving internet traffic to their website. They are a big company and for the most part they farm out their seeds to white label/generic companies. I'm sure they have some decent product but honestly you'll never know what exactly you're getting. They can slap a popular name on anything for sales. Best way IMO is to deal with companies that sell product directly from the original breeders OR to buy directly from breeders sites. Two great companies that carry actual breeders are:

northatlanitcseed.com
seedsherenow.com

Seedsherenow is in my bookmarks for it's fairly comprehensive list. And a good place to keep an eye on their ($4 ea) sales for trying new things, IF you don't need to add international shipping.

You never know what you're getting from ILGM? If you've paid for and received the wrong cultivars from ILGM, I'd be just as pissy. But I've bought fem photos from boutique breeders (I won't list) and ended up with herms. That's 100% the breeders fault. I'm in a prohibition state and can't waste time and space on coinflips. I've slowly drifted toward ILGM because I get what I pay for, with a guarantee. I want a boring, homogenized experience when buying seeds.

For those who take issue with farming out seed production, make sure you dump your Dr. Earth products, as well as nearly every other growing device from lights to mycorrrhiza.

I'm only relating MY experience. Growers should do what brings them confidence and peace. Prohibition has created so much bro science and bullshit in the grow community since day one. I remember "harddon" (the Kyle Kushman of the early boards) laughing his ass off at my MiracleGro soil run, yet today's newbs are lining up for Grow Dots :) *No hate on their Recharge*

Peace.

They sell white label seed. Nothing wrong with that. The lying about Autos being true expressions, and absurd pricing is what I take issue with.

They don't sell anything I find particularly interesting, and I have zero faith they are working with the real genetics.

If the weed is to your liking, and you're happy with ILGM, that's what counts, but I encourage any folks new to growing to check out Bohdi, AK bean brains, Fluer du mal, professor P, ag seed co, and Humboldt CSI. Bohdi, FDM, and AG seed co in particular are very budget friendly without compromising quality. There various threads throughout the forums to research if interested.
