white paper

hey guys im new to RIU but is and im so glad i found this site.

anyway i was wonering could i use plain whit printing paper as reflective material for the walls of a small grow box...just enough for 1 or 2 plants. also could someone please tell me how to rep, thanks.

i'm sure you could but it would prolly cause mold if it absorbed water. but there are tons of better ways to do this. i'm sure you could find those emergency blankets at the 99 cent store or home depot. http://www.amazon.com/Coleman-825-462T-Emergency-Blanket/dp/B000PL361Y i'm sure sports stores would have it too

look where it says j"ournal this post" thats on the left side of the bar the reply and reply w/quote button, you'll see a icon of a triangle with a exclamation point in it, that is the report this post button, next to it is a button that looks like a star or sun or something. click that and you can give rep.

White paper? Why not?

I used a roll of cheap aluminum foil I got from the dollar store. 35 sq. ft. for a buck worked well for me. I used it to line a 10 gal fish tank I use for seedlings. I think it boosts the CFL bulbs pretty well. Remember shiny side to the light though.

I didn't know the Coleman emergency blankets were that cheap, think I'll go with those next time
