Which way should I face my light?

Should the (pic 1+2) sides of the bulb face the length in the middle of my tent or should the (pic 3+4)the tip be facing the length from a wall? I am using a 250w batwing reflector in a 4wx2dx5h tent. Please vote and feel free to share your wisdom. Thanks.

I think in pics 3&4 the light is spread around the tent more efficiently, so that configuration gets my vote.

actually that is a parabolic reflector, the curved sides should be parallel to the longest side of the tent.... turning it the other way as shown in 3 &4 distribute the light less evenly, as more light is wasted on the sides of the tent then uttilized by the grow space below it.
