Which of these two venting setups is best?

I've got a 600w hps in a 4'x4' tent and have these two options, which would run cooler? I can either afford a bigger filter or a hood atm, not both :(

Passive Intake > Air Cooled hood > 200-400 CFM Extractor
Running alongside Passive intake > Tent > Carbon Filter > 100 CFM Extractor

OR

100 CFM Extractor > Tent > Carbon Filter > 200-400 CFM Extractor

Niceone!

If I used a hood I would be intaking from outside the tent.
Otherwise my filter is gonna be useless with the other fan going!

I'm thinking the hood is the way to go though, people talk about them being nearly cool to the touch so they sound pretty efficient.

bypass the room with your light and one extractor and have the other one venting your interior with the carbon filter.
Bingo !

I don't even air cool my 400w in my 32" x 32" x 63" tent.
Passive intake via 2 open flaps with the glass lens removed from my hood and my 6" CanFan sitting outside and on top of my tent.
It vents STRAIGHT up into the attic via 3ft of RIGID ducting, with NO BENDS OR ELBOWS.

Option 1 then. Cheers, thought that would be the way to go but wanted a second opinion before I went hood shopping...

Sounds like a decent setup flo, do you have a filter in there?
