def the bigger one would be better if ya got the room.. make sure you get good ventalation with it also. i have a tent thats 4x4x7 with only a 150w HPS n 8 cfls for side lighting, works out great but i do need a bigger light SOON....

39x39 = 57 watts per square foot with 600w hps.......... 56x56= 28.5 watts per square foot 4 600w hps. u want to aim 4 50 watts per square foot. I would get the smaller tent 4 one 600w or get the bigger tent with 2 600w( that would be 57 watts per sq. ft.) and provide adequate ventilation

just to give u an idea, I currently have a 4x8 tent with 2 x 600watt hps. It is doing quite well but isnt as much light as i should have at 37.5 watts per sq. ft. since i have a 6 inch fan on exhaust and a 6 inch fan through the cooltubes and temps are no problem, I am getting another 600 w light to give me optimal lighting(56 watts per sq. ft.).

Either one will work for a 600w, assuming you have decent ventilation and an air cooled hood. Take a look at my setup...I've got the 57x57x78 with a single 600w and there is tons of additional room. I agree with smokintreez...you could get away with more in the larger tent. To be honest, I kind of wish I had gone with a 1000w but I may end up with another 600w in there in the future.

you got a link to your set up? is it in the journals?

have you thought about 600 watt + some cfls?

I could do 1000 watt but I think that's too much energy usage for me.
