Which digital weighing scale...?

I'm looking at a few. I don't want a pocket one that is the size of my wallet. Big birthday card size (6x7) is about right.

I'm looking for something accurate, nice looking, tare feature, only need 2 modes - ounces and grams. I'd like to have 500g capacity with a .1g accuracy. Around $30 to $50. And lastly, comes with it's own calibration weight.

Let's hear what you like and don't like.

Disclaimer: Anything available at Walmart I WILL NOT BUY. That evil giant must get defects cause everything I buy from there breaks right away. And so do the replacements.

starfrit makes a digital scale that is very accurate. for sale at the grocery stores where I live... I have check weights and it's dead on... I don't trust anything but a balance scale when weighing..(personal preference). but it's like $20 and goes up to 5 lbs with a tare button.

Tanita make solid scales, last forever. Ohaus also makes 'Cadillac' scales :) You'll be hard pressed to find one for $30-$50 I'd imagine (been a while since I had to buy one, a testament to both brands). I haven't seen a digital that wasn't a POS for under $100. Most of the good ones will start closer to $150 in my experience.
