Where to vent

I'm starting to grow in my washer/dryer closet and where the exhaust goes outside is about 20 feet in the air with 3 other vents by it. Should I vent outside or do you guys think I should just vent into the wall?

I would def get a carbon filter then vent outside. Humid air into the wall will stink up ur house and could cause mold/fungus growth.

Ok thanks for the input.

Watch for my grow journal. I'm starting with 12 plants. 6 Northernlights seeds from nirvana-shop and 6 bagseeds. I'm doing a DWC system with 2 24" GE Daylight and 2 24" Sunshine bulbs, 1 Aerogarden hood, 1 50 watt 12x12 LED panel with a mixed blue and red spectrum and 1 50 watt 12x12 LED panel with a red spectrum. I'm using fox farm nutes and an Elite 802 air pump which is good for up to 20 gallons.

Be better to use CFL's then LED's. They do not put out the Lumens that your plants crave...

Yes u will want to invest in a carbon filter or ozone generator and exhaust outside through a chimney/vent/eaves. Reasons you dont want to vent into the wall is because u will cause the inside of the structure to contain moisture which will eventually grow mold and most likely will end up in a huge construction and renovation bill.

Ok thanks for the info. I bought a carbon filter and 4" fan.

I've read that 90 watt led produce the lumens of a 400 watt HPS. I don't completely believe that so i figured that if I got 100 watts worth of LED that it would be equivalent to possibly a 250 watt HPS without the heat. Im using a tightly sealed closet so air flow is not that great. When I'm home I open the doors to let in fresh air. I'm sure that a few of my plants will either not make it or turn out a male, so I'm hoping the LEDs will support at least 6 plants. I'm moving in about 4 months so if this little setup works for me I will go bigger at my next location.

I vent straight up the chimney with no filter. I figure, 30 feet up in the air, who's going to smell it unless they're climbing around on my roof?

you might be able to say that LED lights produce and equivalent amount of lumens to, say, a Metal Halide or a CFL or Flourescent Tubes or such in veg. mode... But, i'm afraid, only HPS is equivalent to HPS (when it comes to flowering out ur weed).
