Where to buy 4x4 flood trays

In Al B Fucts thread "get a harvest every 2 weeks" Sog... He says his enclosure is 7' high by 8' by 9' Yet it says his flood trays are 4' x 4' each and also he says he has roughly an 8 inch walkway in the middle of the enclosure with 2 of the 4 trays on each side of that lane. So either his enclosure is a bit wider than 8 foot or I have got the wrong information about the tray measurements ?
Anyway I'm in the UK and can't find any 4x4 trays through google. Anyone know where I can get hold of these trays in the Uk ? and Have I got it right 4x4 foot trays for 23 plants per tray ?

4 x 4 foot is around 1.2 square meters. All I can seem to find in the UK is 1 meter square trays. Looks like I'll have to set about making my own.
Thanks for the suggestion.

theres a very easy and cheap way to make a tray: get some wood and shape it like a tray, then get a black geomembrane, it is sold in companies that provide greenhouses with nylon for their tents, it's used to make ponds and is cheap and lasts for years, can be shaped very easily. you can use the drains used in sinks or tubs and screw it to the bottom. if you need a lid for the tray, get a PVC board 6mm or so thick, it's quite easy to make holes in it. hope this helps

I think he refigured them to be 900x900mm or 3x3. Metric > Imperial.
Looking back over that sog thread, he said he used 8 inch diameter pots and in his pics he has rows or lengths of 5 pots. A row of 5 would take up a width or length of about 102cm 3 foot is about 36 inches so you would get a row or column of 4 pots with 4 inch left over.
But after all that his pots do look pretty crammed in, plus he only states 8 inch diameter, I don't know how pots are measured but they appear cone shaped with the tops being wider than the bottoms, so you would figure they're a maximum dia of 8 inch.. blah blah anyway maybe you could squeeze 20 or more of those in a 1 meter square tray. Or maybe I should just stop being anal and settle for 16 pots in each tray and just make or buy standard 1 meter square tables/trays.

"Somewhere in this thread I also estimate that the pots used are 8" dia- wrong again. They are 175mm top diameter, 130mm bottom dia and 175mm tall. They hold approximately 4L of media." - Al B.

Case Closed!
