when to trim

I always trim my buds b4 hanging, but I just read someone saying to wait untill cured and trim right b4 smoking? sounded like he new what he was saying, just wondering what the difference makes. I like to trim while fresh so I can freeze trim for bubble hash . Maybe I do it wrong, idk.

The only difference is that one will be a lot easier to trim, and the other will be a PITA.
