So i had a question guys....Planted my 8 babys into 12oz and 16oz cupnd 2 never sprouted through the soil and one died so i have 5 left now...Anyways they are about 3 inches or so now and I am wondering when it is time to transplant these into the ground. I am worried about animals and pests eating them but also worried about stunted growth from leaving them in the cups to long. Any help would be great thanks

i dont hide plants from mother cause im the father but anyway i transplant between weeks 2 to 4 depending on how health they look ivery health seedling 2 weeks adv 3 weeks puny 4 weeks i start about 3/4 full with soil and add last as plant grows and gets lanky if plant gets too lanky i transplat it deeper sometimes up past first round leaves and first single bladed pointed sarrated leaf i some times cut leaves and put a little rooting jel on the spots and transplant all the way up to first set of 3 bladed leafs

but thats me

well, i would cut a few holes at the bottom of the cup, when you start seeing the roots poke out, then its time.

With 16oz cups I would say between weeks 2-4. I also use 16oz beer cups to start my plants and like to let mine go more towards 3-4 weeks before I transplant them. I use the clear cups because I can see when the roots engulf the outside of the cup.
