Just build my greenhouse, very excited to get started growing outdoors. I have some that are already 3-4' ready to go. But I've never grown outdoors in a greenhouse. Any idea when would be a good time to start? Thinking maybe at the end of this month, but of course weather permitting. It's already getting in the 90's in my greenhouse. Cooling will be an issue, but I will figure it out.

Its too early to plant outdoors they will freeze. I move mine in and out of my back door until may 1st then I plant them in the ground.

I don't know from personal experience, but I have friends in the mountains who are already growing in greenhouses. They are just using heaters/supplemental lighting for the cold nights/days. So if set up correctly with thermostat & heaters I would think you could already take advantage of the sun+natural heat it gives off?

Thanks everyone! Today it was 108 in there, and 70 outside! Took advantage of the day till the clouds rolled in. Brought everyone back in as the temps started to drop. But I did have the heater on in there for bit as it got colder. My biggest concern is cooling it now. But I will find a way.

There are a ton of automation supplies to help with cooling. Including some self opening vents that are passive and self regulating.
Good luck its a challenge from what I hear to keep those temps correct without a good control system. May be trying one out later this year myself. On the front range.
