When to pop seeds for outdoor season?

I was wondering if you all have a set date that you start your seeds for outdoor grow season?
I live in NewEngland and according to farmers almanac the first half of April wil be unseasonably cold, second half of April unseasonably warm.

Your safe day to go out will be mid- may to jun 1 . Other factors may play like how big are you going for, do you have to sex your plants etc. I start fems mid april for a jun 1 transplant in MA

Start now, go outside memorial day. I am in lower northern new England.

Depending on where you are in New England you may want to look into autos.
