When to harvest?

I'm just a little confused right now about harvesting and could really use any insight.

What I have going on right now are 2 super lemon haze a couple days away from entering wk 7 of flower. This is a 9 wk strain and is what the breeder recommends flowering it for. I'm growing indoors using led lights and using fox farm nutrients. R/O water along with calmag.

One of my plants look spot on, some clear some milky tricomes. But the other plant I'm noticing a lot of Amber tricomes. I'm not sure what to do at this point. Should I wait it out the whole 9 wks or go ahead and chop?

Not all plants are equal.. even if they're the same strain.. unless they're clones...
Not to unusual for different phenos to have a different flowering period...

What do the pistils look like and what color are the stems?

So best case would be to harvest her now and just wait for the other one to fully mature. My last feeding was a couple days ago so my next water is coming up, and since I thought I had two wks left I haven't started flushing her. So would it be safe t

The pistils are about half orange and the stems of fan leaves are reddish purple

More time definitely. I have a slh going, same time as yours (second one i am growing). Looks similar and at least two weeks to go. I'm letting mine go 3 to 4 weeks more.

Well that's a relief because I just started my flush today and don't really wanna speed through that. I'm going to go one more wk and check the tricomes again. And depending on how they look I will let it go for the last wk

I didn't flush flush like 3 times the pot size with water. I'm talking just straight phed water. 2 gallons like I always do. Minus Cal mag and nutes. From what I've read everywhere, it's important to spend the last 2 wks flushing the nutes outta your soil so you don't have a chemical taste

So your stopping the food is what your doing .....flushing is putting 30 gallons of water through a 10 gallon pot ......and all that does is kill baby rhinos in Africa .....poor baby rhinos

The stems of the leaves turning yellow on the buds is where mold starts plus they are a pain in the ass to clean, don't let it go too far..

Exactly. Getting it all out so I don't get that chemical taste in the smoke

I hate seeing the myth of flushing being spread around by those who don't know any better.

Listen...all nutrients are stored in the roots, all you're doing when flushing is ridding your plant's root zone of nutrients during a stage where it would normally being fattening up it's buds. You're gimping yourseling by flushing and only hurting your plant really. Need proof?
