okay so i have 4 purp train wrecks and 1 cataracts... theyre about 3 weeks old ... as you can see this is my first grow and ive almost killed them about 10 different ways now... you can see where i misted them with lights on... thats the light coloring you see in some of them. I almost killed them with a nute mix that i later measured and had a 3.3 PH... lol... Ive been bad but ive learned a ton and apply it all each feeding and try to be careful as hell now... i feed nutes only once a week at the most now and only use half of recommended amounts. Anyways what youre looking at is about 13 to 14 inches on average and the cataracts is the one not nearly so bushy.... 3rd photo... all five started calyx growth a week ago but im concerned about overall size going into week 4..... anyone else work with these strains or have any tips, hints of their own.... ive since straightened out the ph situation... because im using Promix as my sole medium i keep the PH about 5.5 to 5.6 now as its soiless. week3c.jpgweek3b.jpgweek3a.jpgweek3.jpg

Actually depends on what kind of headroom you have to work with. I'd LST and supercrop them right now and flip to flower in a couple weeks. Probably would top out around 3' but you can keep that shorter with training.

If you have 7 feet of headroom I'd veg them a lot longer, I veg my one plant larger than that and I only have ~2ft of headroom

The interveinal chlorosis at the top looks like lack of nitrogen to me. But I too am a newbie. I also give nutrients every watering. i try not to fluctuate, keeping changes to a minimum. That steady sort of feeding seems to enhance growth. But that's merely anecdotal. I too grow hydroponically in a soilless mixture as well (Sunshine Mix #4 Advanced). I also check my pH prior to every watering/feeding because you are merely 1 watering away, with the wrong pH, from hurting your girls.

In the growth stage you are at I'm usually somewhere around 400 to 600 PPM I try not to have huge nutrient or water changes. I usually flip mine somewhere around 6" to 12" tall. So for me I flip on height.

Decisions, decisions. Leave yourself 12" or so of height above the plants, to play around in. Light saturation & light penetration., it's what it's about.

I'm not so sure about lst and supercropping for those plants. From the photo, they looked stressed. The best thing would be to care for them well for about another week or more until they look like they have started some vigorous growth on all the tops. Then Flip. In my opinion, based on my experience and that of friends, It's never really worth it to start flowering a plant that can't handle the change yet. Just a thought.

You and your friends grow pussy plants. Throw the light on them and they will rebound overnight from any trimming/training practices.
