at harvest should the trichomes still be a 50/50 mix between clear and brown trichomes ?

It depends on the type of high you want out of your plant.

All Clear Trichome- Too soon to harvest
All Cloudy trichome- Rush, energetic, spontaneous type high.
All Amber Trichome- the [Couchlock] high
Half Amber Half Cloudy Trichome- is a mixture of both, but heavier towards the body couch lock high.

If im wrong i would gladly be corrected. Thank you. :3

sorry for the double thread but this site is doing some screwy things, I made a thread then tried looking for it but couldn't find it so I made another then wala there was the first thread. Anyway I'm getting the jist that sativa plants are more cloudy than clear, I'm used to growing the indica type which are mostly amber when mature. My plants are probably in their 4th to maybe their 5th week of flowering, the strain is Acapulco gold

Got 2 plants growing, bought seeds from seed bank in England, although the same strain one plant is smaller and more bushy than the other, both are females, topped using uncle bens 4 kola technique which is producing some big kolas, fat, full and firm about 8" long, although topped they do have a lot of side branching (thought I read somewhere that sativa plants do that), I'm gonna harvest the big tops and let the smaller side branches grow a little more cuz they don't get as much light as the tops do. I got 2 clones growing & this time I won't grow keep them vegging so long as these were. I'll top to get the 4 branches then flip to 12/12 cycle.
