Sorta. You can take cuttings when you have 3-4 nodes. Taking cuttings probably isn't as stressful to the plant as you may think.

takin one or two cutting two root and force flower to determine sex is not enough to stress your plants out at all... pretty much once you have a few nodes you will be fine to take 1 or 2 from each plant.. just make sure you mark them so you know the plant they came from...
