When do you actually start LST??

Indoor and even outside I would not start training my plants until they were topped and side branches were getting big enough to gentle bend them.

I found some very cool clips in a few different sizes they help in this first step to keep ties at a minimum until stronger

Reason for topping is to promote more branching and bud sights , outside 6 sets at first and inside depends what your up to.

You can create a ton of bud sites and branching with just proper LST. Topping isn't required at all.

I was actually wondering what they're for. Just looked it up. Will definitely get some
When I was using perlite in my coco it would prevent algae from growing on it. Helps keep some moisture in the coco and helps evenly distribute the feed.

Those ones fit perfectly inside my 3 gallon pots as well. They are thin flexible plastic so at harvest I have to cut them off.
