So I put my plants out about a week ago and yesterday finally noticed hairs. So do i count yesterday as day 1 of flower or start counting the day i moved them outside to start flowering with the 12/12 hours of light? Thanks for the help in advance!!

As of now would it be day 2 of flower or day 6?

Also does it take longer for males to show sacks than it does for a female to flash her tits

Ive heard two things: flip to 12/12 but wait until the pistils appear and count that as day 1 flower or flip to 12/12 and count that as day 1. I do the latter. I dont know which ones right though

Yeah when a breeder says its a 65 day finisher it would be easier if I knew what day to start at bc thats an extra week and if i flush for last 2 weeks it ends up being 3 weeks no nutes if it goes longer

Only use a breeders finishing flower time as a ROUGH guideline. Breeders flowering finishing times are almost always off. You need a 100x miscroscope late in flower to check the trichome heads and chop according to personal prefrence.

Best thing is don’t even worry about what breeder packs say. That’s highly subjective. Most times they don’t come close to what the pack say too many variables.

Yeah i do that, its more about trying to figure out when to start flush with out wasting an extra week not feeding. I have some new seeds i popped and was just curious

I've heard growers count from first day pistols show. Or others I've heard from when you first see pistols appear. 7 days later is officially day 1 of flower. I guess time breeders count. So growers don't harvest early not too sure.

Dont flush man. Do you notice a difference in your end product? My friends sure as hell dont. Ive actually done a test. I flushed one and not the other and my friends all liked the bud from the plant that was not flushed. Ive never flushed since then.

I count when they’re done lol I don’t worry on what day it’s at or anything. I simply worry about when it’s done.

Over the years ive had plants that i didnt flush and they were harsh and hard on the throat with a way different taste. I dont get that kind bud taste without flush. Plus i believe it burns better in a zig zag since thats what i smoke most. I had a little worm problem and cut a couple buds early before full flush, cleaned up rhe good bud from the bad and ended up giving away about an oz bc it was to harsh to smoke. Idk always been a flush guy to taste the bud not the chemicals.

Many flushing myths out there and I’m not here to debate. I flush, however I don’t start flushing until the plant is ready for harvest and I use a 60x scope to check. I don’t guesstimate that the plant has X amount of time left and try to start flushing 2 weeks before the plant is done. When the plant is done I flush it and then harvest. Most plants have a 2-3 week optimal harvest window so i feel like I can feed until she is ready then flush.

I also forgot that I count day 1 of flower when I flip the lights but really it shouldn’t matter as long as your consistant and able to ready the plants. The plants will tell you when their done.

Most likely it came from overfeeding and poor drying setup. Flushing does nothing but starve out the plant at the most critical time. The harshness comes from chlorophyll that hasn’t broken down properly. Drying improperly is the biggest reason people ruin a harvest.
