Hey everyone, thanks for the advice. I have four plants three at four weeks tomorrow and one at three on the same day. I expect a full 6+ weeks for veg but I was curious how you can tell when you may want to start switching for optimum yield? They are starting to stink something fierce, its marvelous. My plants are incredibly bushy and I have topped twice. Currently they are only about 8" tall and a bit wider in diameter. I have them in one gallon pots and expect to switch to 3-4 gallon a week or so before starting the light transition. Any tips or thoughts would be appreciated. Oh, and I have them under a solar flare 100w fixture with two 105w cfl and 4 23w.

Search is my friend.. i pulled another noob mistake by asking without looking. feel free to chime in, I'm off doing better research for now.

I started mine 12/12 at 30 days cause i built a four foot tall box with adjustable lighting i topped each plant 3x and had to start low stress training about two weeks after the flip cause they were trying to burn themselves on the lights on the ceiling

Im starting to flower now myself. Iv heard to start when your grow space is about 70% full.. like dankk said your plants will double in size.

Like said above, its really gonna depend on how much space you have, and the lights youll be using to flower. By the way, i would transplant into bigger pots asap. Give time for the roots to develope in the pot before you flower. Plus it will reduce stress during the light transition.

I appreciate the comments. At this rate I may be vegging for three months. They are still only about eight inches tall after a month and three toppings. I intend on replanting today so we will see if that helps with height. They are incredibly bushy and seem very healthy, just short. Would increasing the distance to the lights provide some stretch? It seems like it should.

Get more light on them if you want more vigorous growth.
