What’s your fastest photo finish??

I’d like to know if others have had a photoperiod plant finish extremely fast.
I’m growing a seed that was from a self pollinated clone….strain is white truffle x okie.
The clone finished at around day 70 of 12/12. Out of roughly 5oz of dried bud, I found 8-10 seeds. I grew one of them a year ago and I harvested her somewhere around day 70-72 of 12/12.
I decided to grow another this summer.
I flipped to 12/12 on July 21. Within a few days she popped some pistils and was on her way. Along the way I had some pest problems, so I sprayed her a few times w/ Dr Zymes, which is organic and fine during flower.
I noticed a couple weeks ago that her pistils were all turning brown and even starting to recede…..even though it was only a month or so since flipping.
I go out of town for a week and when I return it’s obvious that she is maturing fast.
Today makes day 48 since the flip and she is showing all the signs of being ready. The buds are kinda small but the strain isn’t known for large flowers.
I really haven’t noticed a big swelling of the calyces but there isn’t a single white pistil on the entire plant and no evidence of any new ones showing up.
The trichs are easily over 80% milky….with a random amber scattered…..and I don’t think I’ve ever had a plant with less clear trichomes.
This strain doesn’t have a strong nose until the tail end of flower and then it explodes with a very unique aroma…..sort of a mix b/t cat piss, grapes and a Hobo’s morning breath.
Anyway, that smell is coming on stronger every day.
Damned if I don’t think this girl is gonna be perfect after 50 days of flower…..max of 55.
Has anyone else had a plant just race through the process and finish 2-3 weeks earlier than advertised??
Thanks all….pics are from this mornIMG_8544.jpegIMG_8545.jpeg

Like I said cos it's a S1 it's earlier finishing you got lucky and got a early one let's just hope it smokes as good as the mother too and your onto a winner hope you cloned it if you keep cuts

Ya I've had plants that have stressed out and finished quicker. Usually with smaller buds. I've grown the clones out and they go a little longer if healthy. Usually smoked fine but not quite as good as when fully healthy

Unfortunately I didn’t clone it. Too bad, cause it’s got a lot of great traits…..even smaller details, like huge trich heads and a smell that’s really coming on strong. She’s all but stopped drinking any water…..
So I’m gonna probably take her down Friday.

A few questions if you don’t mind,
1 how many plants total?
2 are all the plants looking like the same pheno?
3 were you lucky enough to chuck a different pollen on any of these?
4 if you up to a little experiment, would you be willing to harvest the plants a week apart? I ask because most experienced growers I talked to say, “ when you think it’s ready, give it another week”
You may find this particular cultivar has different nuanced effects with a longer maturity time, this along with your jewelers loop may give you some insight, should you want to run these again.
If you do decide to stagger the harvest times, jar separately for full scientific analysis

I have had many strains finish in 56 days
Group going now was 63 and 70
Same here, normally hybrid or indica dominant genetics. One of the traits I breed for is fast sexual expression, I haven’t been able as of yet to breed for fast finishing, but I do keep copious notes, so I could look back at past grow logs and get that info. It all comes down to when the grower decides to harvest though. I am not 100% sure that my past grows were not pulled a bit soon though

Oregon Green Seeds has done many years of breeding for quicker flowering and finishing genetics , for outdoor growers in the PNW who are trying to get a harvest before the rains begin. I have grown several here in OKlahoma and gotten mid September harvests. Have not run any of them indoors. As far as harvest timing, I look at it as windows of opportunity, with various tradeoffs, such as you get more weight by waiting longer and you might get more "up" to the high by harvesting earlier. Here is one of Oregon Green Seeds' flagship early finishers, which she has used in a lot of breeding projects. https://oregongreenseed.com/shop/oregon-green-seed/djc/amnesia-hashplant-2/
