Are you using full strength as directed on label? if so then i think your meter is wrong and so is the ph.

Not feeding full strength no. About half the recommended full strength as I thought this was advisable. Water when the soil starts to dry out, feed every other watering. Also isn't 5.8 the recommended pH?

Bump. I'm wondering if it's anything to do with the feed? Didn't have this problem when using canna nutes.

yeah coco is the same as hydro, dont let your coco get so dry and get a second way to check pH, I use an electronic pen, and strips. But the drops work better than strips.

Also Is there any perlite or anything mixed with the coco and was the coco pre washed.

How cold is the water your feeding them?

either way flush them with 12 litres of water let it sit for half hour, repeat, then hit them with 3/4 strength nutes with correct ph(and correct temp) and that should help

Hey man,
I'd be looking at high salt content in the coir????? It can happen even with the expensive brands and is likely with the cheaper labels. Since it's coir you can be very aggressive with flushing to remove the salts and a salt mitigator like Sea Green or Drip Clean will be beneficial as well. It will turn around quickly.

Also, google Cation Exchange Capacity of coir and read until you realize that coir must be "charged" with nutes and until this threshold is reached coir will actually hold cal, mag and phos rather than give it up to roots. Flushing with something around EC 1 will cover the salt and help to charge your coir. Small amounts of similar EC solution daily will help as well.
Its nots uncommon for new coir to have both issues. Peace
