lookin good man, chopping leaves off is a big debate on RIU but id say if the leaves are more than 50% dead/yellow then chop em off. if they block loads of light then you could try folding the fans under the buds or get some wire and coil it round the stems n bend it gently so its further out i.e getting more light.

sativas generally take longer than indicas but as for how long who knows depends on the sat/ind make up of the strain some are 12-13 weeks some can be done in 8, im guessing you dont know the strain so your going to have to judge yourself. from your pics id say check again the trichs in a week n a half but itll probably be about done by then and ready to flush

as for the buds not being dense that more to do with light and genetics. better light = denser buds imo.
