whats the best temp to keep my ebb n flow room?

the res is going to be in my room and it gets to like 85 with the lights on 65 off. should i cool the room more or use a cooler for my res? +REP for any help i'm leaving soil forever i hope:hump:

I don't grow in hydro but I can tell you warmer temperatures promote mold, mildew, and algae as well as containing less dissolved oxygen.

In nature most organisms start becoming active when water temps reach about 60-65f.

Armed with that bit of information if you're running organics you probably need to keep it around 65 at the least. If your running chemical nutes you could possibly get by with lower. Otherwise the cooler the better and room temperature should be fine if you keep light out of the tank. Also the bigger your res the more stable the temperature will be.

I have an ebb and flow table running in my closet. I just run the house air conditioner for now and leave the door open a bit. Room stays about 75 degrees and humidity runs in the low 20's. I also do keep two fans blowing a lot of air around.

You have 1,714 posts and you dont know what temperature to keep a grow room? POST LESS READ MORE! The last 3 threads I replied to were all your questions, and they are ALL very NEWBIE BASIC questions. Go download a grow DVD bro!! Then come back when you have a bunch of questions all at once? :(

yeah i am a newb an newb to EBB N FLOW ive been growing in soil for over 10 yrs i wanna change god forbid i ask a question. and why would i come back with a bunch of questions when i just need one answered?
