What's the best lighting

I was looking into getting 2 plants going in my cupboard it's 2metre in height and ill use one fan inside and leave the cupboard door slightly open for ventillation, I was wondering what's the cheapest lights to run, for vegetation I was going for a blue 125w cfl and flowering I'm not to sure either a magnetic 250w high pressure metal halide 3000k or 250w digital sunpulse metal halide 3000k any suggestions for cheapest way but with good results, also if u use a cfl for veggie do u need to get the heat to 28degree or can u wait till u put the bigger light on for flowering stage then get the heat up.thanks

id use a 200 watt cfl blue for veg and then switch to a 200 watt cfl red spectrum for flower

Forget the HPS, especially if it's in a small area and you're not going full blown w/ a ventilation system...

Go w/ the CFL's... blue for veg, red for flower.... just use as many as you can and keep your temperature at the canopy below 80 degrees if possible... Leaving the door cracked will help w/ ventilation and fresh air...

You may be able to get away w/ 300-400 watts of CFL's in there... just see what works for you, keeping your temps and humidity at a good range...

if only 2 plants you dont need an insane amount of cfls get like 6 42watts or something and keep them as close as possible without burning the plant if you are keeping them in a cupboard then they will need to be smaller so cfls will work all the way through

Cfl's seem the cheapest way, for a 125w blue cfl self ballasted with lighting reflector it's around 40 - 50 pound and the 250w red spectrum light £50 is that any good or is it cheaper going with maybe 6 x 42w cfl's. Also would that sort of cfl get the temps up to the 70 80s degree ?or would I need to get a heater ? I'd like to keep it at a constent 28'degree if possible!

hps light are the best because u can use it ib veg with lovely results,and flower with loely results.,.,.,with a mh u can only veg with desirable result,mh a give you airy wispy buds.,.,hps sodium in veg a give u stocky plants with tight nodes plants
