Whats the best choice of soil and nutes??

Right now I am testing between a few different mixes, for the soil that my plants grow in veg stage I mix 50/50 fox farm happy frog with my variety of soils consist of: one bag just right Xtra soil by general hydroponics, one bag roots organic soil, one bag royal gold mendo mix soil, and one bag ocean forest fox farm. I use half happy frog with all of these in veg and i use GH 3 part synthetic currently but i would recommend an all organic mix like roots organic trinity or flora nova 1 part. but once my plant is done with veg, i then transplant into Subcool's Super soil Recipe for the remainder of bloom which then only calls for black strap molasses. You can find that recipe un the organics section of the forums or here is the link.

I just wanna clarify that I am using each type of soil individually, not together. So far the just right xtra looks like my favorite.
As far as nutrients go, anything made with more natural products is fine, I would recommend fox farm, roots, canna(the yellow bottle), GH flora nova, or you can try anything else you would like, its just a matter of watching the plant and knowing what it needs and when it needs it. There are books on plant problems id look for those on amazon.
I also recommend the super-roots air pots, a great technique called air pruning. Also easy for transplanting when the time comes .
this should give you the best tasting results possible as long as you cure and harvest on time :)

miracle grow burnt the hell out my plants but some people have good results with it I finally broke down went to a hydro shop and got alot of info .... now im using promix-hp mostly peat soiless medium and just start on Advanced Nutrients 3 base nutrient line I was using jacks classics ..... I really like the promix-hp comes with extra perilite I like the medium gets really bone dry and lets me know when to water them also when i flush the soil flushes real well..... kinda pricey but its a great medium...

consider cocco and cocco specific nutes, i have used cocco for 15 years and never had a problem. water to till roughly 10% waste comes out trap your waste and test ph and salt, this will give indication of your plants performance. good luck!!!

Fox farm ocean forest soil. I just put my seeds right in the soil and water. Once you use it you'll never go back. It will feed your babies for 1-2 months, I have heard of people going 3 months before they even use the foxfarm nuts.

Yah I agree with alot of these, miracle grow wouldnt be bad as long as it doesnt have water retention beeds or w.e. in it, I also believe in going with just straight ocean forest soil or just right xtra by itself as well. no nutes needed. Coco is awesome Ive seen some killer results with coco and canna nutrients, the yellow bottle. Ive seen huge plants at 3 weeks.
All you need to do is get some retail catalogs and a good hydro store, and maybe a couple good grow books.
and I agree with the guy about gnats but if yoou keep your grow room sterile, the results of soil organics will blow anything else out of the water!!!

I've always used fox farm soils with great results, I did one round with roots organic and got gnats. Switched back to f.f. after a real good cleaning and no more bugs. Just my experience.

Ocean forest is fox farm, there are many different types of soil. And almost all of them will work, Use fox farm for your first time and you will be fine. I would mix some ocean forest with some happy frog and a couple hand fulls of perlite and you will be good. and to be honest you probly dont even need any nutes in that for the veg stage but
I would seriously consider Subcools super soil mix and blackstrap molasses maybe some compost tea very cheap for many grows. and really good quality but thats my opinion.
Nothing beats good indoor organics.
Oh And STonersam I was curious were i could find this soil your talkin bout i never heard of it.

For a guaranteed system, I know that Foxfarm works very well. Soil And Nutes. They have a feeding schedule that is pretty easy to follow to avoid mistakes
